BASS BALL(ET) is a humorous, feminist show combining jazz music and circus artistry. Ariane & Antonia explore the question of how to not go insane in a world that doesn’t recognise artistic professions or women’s perspectives. or how they can at least use the resulting insanity to amuse others.

antonia and ariane, one a musician, the other a juggler. both singing, dancing, laughing and talking a lot of nonsense, for you, they have thouroughly considered the question of what actually happens when a double bass dances ballet. or how to play music with your feet. and whether said double bass is suitable as an acrobatics partner.
how does a dancer can get a bass plus a bass player onto the stage, and how to best draw an audience into your own roar of laughter?
the two of them have also considered what they can do together in order to not go mad; in a world that primarily considers the male view of female existence. or at least how they can use this madness to make others happy.
through singing, and double-bass acrobatics, and foot juggling and telling little stories, ariane and antonia help you navigate their world. the world of two women in unusal professions, who, despite the world not making life easy for them, always have a lot of fun in their jobs and with each other.
